Rose Cottage was built in stages between 1990 and 2005.  It consists of three buildings:  the original Cottage, the a two-story, 1200 SF house with one large bedroom and bath upstairs, and kitchen dining and living area downstairs; the Guest Apartment, a comfortable 600 SF bed, bath and living area on the second floor, above the garage; and the Summer House, a 3-season sunroom with fireplace.

Rose Cottage is sited on two totally private acres on the outer Rockport Harbor of Penobscot Bay.  The outdoors is a mixture of landscaped and wild areas.  The inside is made for comfort and utility, with a fully-equipped kitchen, fireplace, as well as heat and central air conditioning in both the Cottage and the Guest Apartment.
